About National Land Use Map

This unique, maintained database is dedicated to identifying the usage of land use throughout England, Scotland and Wales. It identifies the location and the extent of 26 different land use categories (see list below) enabling planners and policy decision makers to think more strategically about the potential of our land.

NEW for 2013 We have upgraded the database to include new habitat and forestry classes as well as updating the urban and transportation developments. Preview additional land use categories totalling 40 in all. You can also compare our National Land Use database with CORINE here.

National Land Use Map offers a valuable resource for those considering the wider implications of their plans from the national level down to the city level.
